Expro go for double at the OWI Awards 2022

Expro proved itself the big winner at the OWI Awards 2022, claiming victory in two categories; Most Innovative Solution and Champion Integrated Well Service Company.

“We were absolutely delighted to be awarded these two awards at the recent OWI Awards ceremony. It is particularly pleasing as we see the OWI series as the premier global well intervention conferences. Also the judging panel were made up of global well invention category experts,” said Kevin Illingworth, Global Subsea Sales Director.

The company’s Octopoda system took the crown for Most Innovative Solution; the first-of-its-kind technology allows direct access to well annuli to allow operators to prolong well lifespans in order to make them economically profitable. The system is the only certified annular intervention system without a heavy rig expense and limits carbon footprint.

Earning the Champion Integrated Well Service Company award is a huge honour, and one which was bestowed for Expro’s integrated subsea intervention package and subsequent partnership with FTAI Ocean. The package allows operators to safely reduce risks and lower operational costs while boosting efficiency, and through its partnership can offer a full service across P&A and well intervention markets.
